Re: Last Night
Paddy is the best I have seen so far as TE so far, he can run, block & catch.
We should give every one a try at diff positions & pick the best from there.
Although the 40 gang are knocking on we can all play both ways & there is also a few others who can do that as well.
Lets try & find out where every one would pref to play & then let them have a go & sort out what we have after that, if possible we will have to double up on all ball carrying positions.

Re: Last Night
I think i may change my number to 25,
Im like Reggie Bush, I am the Ultimate Package.
I even have the hollywood, 1st Draft Pick good looks needed to succeed at this level.
My favored position would be RB, but i think i will be much more productive at TE or FB.
I am too slow to play RB for a full game, maybe for short yards or from Pro but i think TE/FB would be best for us.

Re: Last Night
Also,
I think the D is coming together great, most people know there positions and can do a job.
The thing now i think is to concentrate on Offense and start to build a play book. Get people used to playing both sides and making sure we all know what to do if called upon in a game.
I know some people dont want to play offense, but if we pick up injuries in a game, we will need cover.
So pretty soon we will start playing full offensive lineups and running through plays.
Its boring, but it needs to be done ... a bit like the counting practice steve had us doing

Re: Last Night
I aint got a problem with goin O line and playin both ways as long as i can keep it up, but i think i'd be better at left guard or tackle defending the blind side than centre, cant imagine snappin th ball too well.

Re: Last Night
How about for tonight?
(stu WR) (Smithy T) (Craig G) (Marco C) (Steve/TJ G) (Dave T) (Paddy TE) (JaapWR)
(Dan QB)
(steve/Kev FB)
(Nellie TB)
and once we've done drills we can walk through all our plays and pass blocking? All the people above are at training almost all the time (except TJ or Kev) so we can then have a set offence to learn with so we're not wasting time every week puting people in unfamiliar situations so the mess up. The D is already looking good, we need to set some time aside for the O.

Re: Last Night
Dude, sounds like a good plan. Only 1 small glitch, I won't be there tonight. However I believe that this could and should be a reacurring theme at practice? This way everyone will know what sheet of music we are on and then can act accordingly
Like we all have been saying, it is coming together, we just need to step up the pace?? I know I do and hopefully have shown I have started in this direction

humble pie
We'll put it right Thursday...that's a challenge to the fuckin' secondary [/quote]
One-nil to the secondary, but I'm only conceding that cos of my growing drop rate (form is temporary, class is permanent )
And also lads the biggest hit I took was from OTT, you really must try harder

Re: Last Night
Another good night last night for everyone who was there (those who were not should be ashamed of themselves! [simon/Tj]) Getting some hitting in now to seperate the men from the boys, its not as easy when your on your own is it butch lad!? Was a shame we were down to 9 on 9 from 10 on 10 on monday but it was still a good session. Lets have 11 on 11 on monday and have everyones forms in cos as soon as that happens we will order kit and play games. So do it! I'll see everyone who's 'ard at 7 in spoons tonight!

Hard Work
As you can see the work load has picked up and i was really pleased with the attitude of everyone present (even Butch). If we can get more numbers down we will get strength in depth and believe me that first game will be so much more fun if we are fit. Keep it up
