The Missing Marcus
The lack of insane cape based chat may have lead you to realise that there's been no posts from Marcus recently!
He's asked me to say that he's off the net for now, but would still like to get to training to watch us all if anyone can give him a lift.
Offers?

Re: The Missing Marcus
Bad luck guys... broadband just went live - I was testing the router tonight ahead of Wednesday's scheduled completion and it connected, so here I am...
Now if only I can find my damned phone charger - the box I think it may be in just happens to be one the removal men put at the back...
I'll not be taking part for a week or so yet though - the gout's not too painful atm, but it's now at the stage where my knee and foot are puffed up (I won't even get my boot on I don't think) and the knee makes bending it slow and awkward. I would appreciate a lift if anyone's offering though so I don't fall behind in the theory side - just because I'm a cripple atm, doesn't mean I don't want to keep learning.
I'll get my application in ASAP, but I've not been out and about to get that mugshot done yet, so will be doing it ASAP.

Nellie, I was thinking of the numbers and people may have made other plans
I suppose we could take a straw poll on Thursday.

Re: The Missing Marcus
God... look at you lot... lol
I'd not recommend borrowing my boots - I also have mild athlete's foot which is why I treated myself to a pair of Under Armour boots - they've got the moisture wicking lining so I figured that it would help minimise sweatbuildup during the potential hours of a game.
I've got gloves, but they're for a lineman, not a LB and I have forearm pads too, but not used those in training yet - I figured that it's best to get used to the bruises and scrapes during training and then use the extra padding during a game when I need to protect myself a little more when we're hitting harder.
BTW anyone want any 4XL leggings? I bought them going on waist size and, well, you saw the results - for those who didn't, they were around my knees at one point. I've since scraped up enough for a pair of 3XL and they seem a better fit. I also got some 5XL in a sale and if the 4XL don't fit...
Another thing I've picked up is a helmet pump - my helmet was falling down over my eyes slightly during that training session, so I got one - my helmet now fits better. If anyone needs to borrow it, yell... although I'm guessing that most have already got their helmets sorted.
Hoggy: Appreciated my friend - I knew you were injured and working last week, so I didn't know if you were still going... and I don't want to dump myself on one poor victim every week unless you *truly* don't mind.
