I *will* need a lift for that first week if I'm to get up there for training - my mum's the only other way to get there and she'll be too sore for days afterwards from the 8-hour drive.

I know it may sound obvious but to play this game you at least have to support your own weight

Yeah she's got a car, but she's got an artificial knee and arthritis in the other and will be sore for a few days after an 8+ hour drive.
