I just came accross your ste on the internet, i would like to say a BIG GOOD LUCK to all you players / coaching staff, and any1 else involved in the team.

I started playing in the early 90's briefly Furness Phantoms (to young), then played for the Cumbria Cougars briefly in carlisle, club desolved and went to play for the Manchester allstars - and played 6 games 3rd string qb for the london monachs in the mid 90's, before snapping my leg in 3 places!

Love the sport, shame u so far away from me as would of love to get involved, i live in sth cumbria.
Will be keeping an eye on yur site, and will be turning up to some of your home games!

Yes i think u did, u use to own a hotel or guest house ???
I played backup qb to stumpy, again age and experience went against me when playin.
Although i did enjoy it when i was on, even trainning loved it! played no 11

My later years i was coached by a qb coach from germany who coached in the world league. But throughout all teams played for i would say i enjoyed all of em just as much!

As i stated above just a shame u so far away, wouldnt of minded padding up again, playing another possition such as LB.

R there anymore players from Carlisle still playing?

Aye, Tommy, Andy Graham, Steve Murray and X and Y the chromosone twins are still kitting up, had a hell of a job finding padded zimmer frames for them all.

Would love to come up, but just a bit far from Ulverston
Nothing else been taking off in this area for ages, nearly went to the scottish claymores trials a few years back when they were advertising, but again distance turned me off.

Have you got a good squad there? looks like more players than what you had at the Cougars?

your welcome, to come up mate weve a good bunch of lads, im sure we can squeeze you in at LB, and thats coming from me at LB, we are a bit shy at that position, but try your arm, we got a good line but you still have to worry about tommy

we need to play another game or so by october id love to see abit more experience in our ranks,

hopefully if you can make the trek we only train 1 a week and it will be worth it

it was a real good session last thurs cant wait to this week, i reckon were gettin a good set of coaches together, even by watching i got some good tips.

The more emails im getting, the more pumped up im getting about blowing the dust of the old pads and returning from 'retirement!'
1st problem, not done any fitness training since xmas,
2nd not thrown a ball in over 10yrs! (maybe its like riding a bike and u never forget )

50 yd bomb to within 8 yds of target, 20-30yd fire on the numbers.

Then you should come to training, you would be a great asset to the team

Even if you don't want to play, we could do with some experience in that position and even as a QB coach, it would be a massive step forward for us.

It would be great to have you on the team.

no good on a weekday......as it would be too late when i got through, 90mins form ulverston............
