Best day to train?
Just wondering, if it helps getting more numbers to training, what are the best days for people to train? Tuesday and sunday would be perfect for me.

At the moment the current set up is good for me. But if the days change I could probably make them

Wednesday no chance, Thursday moderate chance, any other day usually fine for practice.

Re: Best day to train?
I wouldn't like sunday due to the 21 weeks of NFL I would miss a year, something I enjoy greatly.
I think Kit is maybe a factor in numbers falling at practice, though I know some are waiting for kit, the combination of christmas/winter time, the need for kit and the move to dearham seems to have made numbers dwell a bit.
Long term I think sunday practices wouldn't help as many prospective football players will be fans of the sport also.

Re: Best day to train?
Sundays wouldn't be good for us rugby fans as the times training would be likely at a similar time as Whitehaven/Workington matches. Got to have my weekly fill of hurling abuse at officials, I suppose it would be more convenient from those of you from Carlisle way though.

I think the way we do it now is ok.
Weekends are difficult for me at the moment but one week day and one weekend could work. I would only make the weekdays every week and the odd weekend.

It is the same for me as I work every other weekend and now that I'm on the ward I might miss a few weeek days as well. However Mondays are still good as I'm at college, but after Easter this will change.

The way we do it is fine for now extra people are not going to turn up out of nowhere if we change the day. When we come up to a game we'll have a practice at the weekend to be prepared.

Dan: that'd be my preference - preferably on a Saturday evening to keep people from drinking too much in the weeks before a game.

Re: Best day to train?
League Game Day is a Saturday.
So closer to games we can train on a Saturday.
But until then I like how things are.

Training positive
I doubt we would get any real change of numbers whatever day training was you guys should be chuft that 20+ turn up thats really good numbers when i played at one rugby club we avraged similar numbers and that was when they were one of the best amateur clubs in the country and that was for 3 teams, considering the clubs existence is only very young when word reaches out particular when we have got matches on the horizon folk will be out of the woodwork, i got a few people interested. And where we train is superb just hope none of the rugby teams get wind its warm and dry and for round here thats rare, you guys should be proud and hopefully time will tell

I am glad to be able to play the game. As we all said last night if we get some more PR our way we might get more people interested.
