How Far Is Too Far?
I don’t want to sound like a twat but I have to say this, I feel that if we are training at
Whitehaven in the future then I will struggle to make the sessions.
It is another 35+ miles on top of the 110 that I already travel to make training at
the moment, I think that the stadium will be fantastic for hosting & playing
games or even a longer weekend session if that would ever happen?
I don’t expect the team to move just for me but what is the senses of opinion on
this from every one else, I would be happy to train on a public park or even
a farmers field as long as it was close to were we are at the moment??
Any opinions on this lads or suggestions?

That sounds fair enough to me and we should train in a central location. I don't think anyone lives more south than around whitehaven but alot of people live a long way north of it. Phil: could you have a look around maryport?
I would also train on any surface, but if we play on grass we should try and train on grass and if we play on astro we should try and train on astro

i undrstand tommy me lad
around maryports theres loads of pitches, but no real floodlights, what about MillTofts im sure its public field now that elbra have moved, on sunday there might be youth games but it will be free but no change rooms
Milltofts is next to spar over bridge its a BIG wide field, Maryport RFLC has excellent facilities and they may let us use it over summer but kids use it then and the pitch is narrow,
Neatherhall school is probably out they wont let pupils use the pitches and the rugby union ground has change rooms and 3 pitches then thier is Elbras pitch behind the Go carts changerooms too

How far is too far
Im afraid i will probably be in the same situation as it is getting too far away and i struggle to get to Dearham for 7 now! wouldnt be able to get to all sessions if it moves that far away and therefore couldnt commit to playing.

I think it is a fair point.
We are not training both sessions at the new place. just one when it gets sorted.
But it would be ideal for one here and one up there.

Tommy also has a fair point, would be a shame to lose anyone cos of travelling times. Cos I will be working most thursdays, I would have to make the journey to Copeland, but hopefully will be able to get together with some of the North Cumbria lads to travel.
Cos we will be playing weekends, I think it will make sense for us to practice weekends also - this also gives us the opportunity to be outside and in daylight...not to mention the lovely Cumbrian weather!!
Either way, when am fit again will get there when I can.
