Sounds good to me. Although I think that a pub wouldn't be the best place to do it. If we all truned up at the horse centre and just walked through the play, not in full gear, that would be better, IMHO

i could do with that, you wrote before i did
took allot of wrong options as my awareness off where the other D boys are is poor plus indecisive when faced with passing plays. and during the huddle aint the time to ask
aswell im getting to know a few guys but it would be easier if not wacking each other
ps
me finger wasnt broken just dislocatd clicked it back and it bends again ouch

Butch's first good idea!
Steve, i think Butch has just came up with a great idea, lets WALK not run through the plays till everyone who is not too sure what is expected of them has got the blocking (with the help from Spike) with blocking schemes, running the ball and receivers routes firmly practiced and learned.Just half a dozen good runs and passes is probably all thats needed by most teams, please post your feedback and see what we all think or do we still just knock lumps out of each other scrimmaging and pretend we will be ready to play a game.

agree
dont forget drinking session...
yes walk through various plays and in my case, i can stop the move and say what should i be doing or best way to deal with current play.
THEN we can get onto hitting each other, i think OTT likes to do that me tooo

I like the idea too. Walking it through gives everyone the chance to look around and see what everyone else is doing, where the weak spots are and how their positioning is.

Andy
I thought Butch walked through the plays anyway
If we get good numbers on Thursday we can walk through some plays I want to do some work on stance of the line on O and D and also some work with Dan so a busy night.

Steve, Let Spike deal with the Offensive & Defensive lines, he can coach then on thier stance & blocking.
The more guys we get helping/coaching the quicker we will be ready for games.
Although I hate walking through play's & after driving 70 miles & just hant to hit something I agree by slowing everything down the faster we will learn to play as a team.

OK Tommy
But thats ok as long as Spike can make training as I said it all depends on numbers for training.
Dont worry you will still have a chance to hit someone

As long as Tommy doesn't ball beak me I'm ok. Anyway I would want to hit something if I had to drive those types of miles .
I think that it would be a case of wlak through then run through at full pelt to see how it should go.

Based on Tommy's desire to hit something, we could replace the fisrt half drills with walkthroughs of 2 or 3 playes on either side and then run them full speed at the end.
Just thinking of you mate!

Re: sunday nyt
Fair point Steve about Spike, it was not until after & posted it that I thought about when he could make training.
You lads seem to have the wrong impression about me, when I was younger yes I would try to kill you every tackle but now I am older I am trying not to get killed every tackle!!!!!

I don't believe that for a second tommy, i have seen the look in your eye as you charge at people, a look of pure hatred, you intend to wound and kill.
