Youth Football

Post  iainglen on Thu Dec 04, 2008 1:03 pm

I think we have all agreed that this would be the way forward for football in Cumbria & I would hope that 'Senior' players would help out with youth coaching too.
As it is Mark (Young Un) training with us at 17 shows that we can develop players to some degree before they are eligible to play senior football.
Would be great if we could get something started.

Youth

Post  sonofmatt on Mon Dec 08, 2008 3:37 pm

The way to start this is to go to schools and youth clubs and bring in flag then Junior and finally youth it will take about 3 to 4 years to establish but then they will feed fleg to junior to youth to senior. You can get grants to do this and also to pay for coaching
You also need qualified coaches and anyone that helps must be checked by the police ( Disclosure Checked)
